i am oppening a garrage which shall remain nameless and would like to know how much people think a tyre repair should cost?
now bear in mind it does take a technician around 30mins to complete, plus there are materials to consider (not very expensive ones true but still a factor).

£10- £15 should be a fair rate.

Make sure your repairs are in accordance with BSAU159 otherwise you'll be opening yourself up to a load of problems.

Bear in mind that there will be many tyres that you CANNOT repair for various reasons Make sure you identify these.

Best advice is to steer clear of tyres and leave it to the pros. You could always take it up later when you get better established, You will find that there is a lot more to tyres than you realise

Cost me £12 to repair a puncture to a loose motorcycle wheel at Watling Tyres, Catford, LONDON. I`d go up to about £15 before I started to shop around. Good luck with your garage.

The answer is going to be different in different locations. What I would recommend doing is anonymously calling around to some of your competitors like your a customer and asking what they charge and what kind of repairs they do (the right way or plugs). That way you will know what the going rate is in your market.

The last one I had repaired cost me $7. It was on a Sunday evening. In a small town, near the Interstate, in Alabama.

They also removed my spare and installed the original tire and put the spare back in the trunk for me.

Do what WalMart does, call around to the competition. Don't forget some flats are simple punctures and some require the replacement of the tire.
