Easy access to guns for criminals...too many guns in circulation.

Here are some interesting statistics:
In general, guns are most often used in intimate homicide but weapon type varies by relationship. From 1990 to 2004 --
Over two-thirds of the spouse and ex-spouse victims were killed by guns.
Boyfriend victims were more likely to be killed by knives than any other group of intimates.
Girlfriends are more likely to be killed by force than any other group of intimates.

Because you can legally own a gun in the US. Instead of just the criminals getting them, everyone here can (legal adult, waiting period, and so on).
Problem with that is the same as having a car, stupid people are allowed to have both of them.
I think we actually have more stupid accidents related to gun ownership. Those are the ones that worry me. The reality is, bad guys will get guns. We have huge borders, and making guns illegal wouldn't stop them from coming across.
It's not like we're an island.

Because the USA emphasizes capitalism, free enterprise, freedom of choice, individual creativity, wealth, and the self-made man!

Not enough gun control... and believe it or not there are some Americans that think our gun control laws are to harsh...go figure
