The more mainstream they can make deviant behaviors, the less immoral the majority of them will look.

Because it's not an aberration. Gays are born, like it or not, and if you really knew any gay people you'd know that's true. That being the case, they should be entitled to the same rights that we all have. For that matter, even if they WEREN'T born gay they should have the right to marry someone they love. What skin is it off your nose if a gay couple gets married? Has your life changed at all since they started marrying in Massachusetts? I'm not even a liberal and I think denying them the right to marry is ridiculous.

Why do you care? I work with and know a lot of gay people and they're just that, people. Gay marriage or not gay people are already here. They were criticized years ago for having multiple partners, you know the whole bath house scene. Now that they say they want legally be monogamous they're told that can't do that either. To answer your question, I'm married to a woman. Next door there are two guys, a gay couple. This is Florida so they can't get married however if they could, it would in no way affect my marriage to my wife. Why should it?

Whether you agree with homosexuality or not you have to accept the consequence of living in a democracy is tolerance of individuals who have different beliefs and lifestyles to yourself. Remember that so many gay people wouldn't agree or feel comfortable with aspects of conservative lifestyles but they accept they have a right to free speech and to function etc.
The society weds heterosexuals on a daily basis that don't mean there vows and don't abide by them but noone can say they don't have the right to do this - even though its morally wrong. Its working on the same principles.

Being left handed is an aberration. Being over 6' 5" tall is an aberration. Being ambixterous is an aberration. This isn't about being a liberal - this is about doing what is LEGALLY fair - not what YOU decide is fair.
BTW: I'm a moderate.

I'm not a liberal but to answer your question.. because as Americans they deserve all the same rights, freedoms, and privileges as any other American citizen regardless of their personal life... that is what is suppose to be so great about America - but for some reason some citizens seem to think they should be able to dictate how people live because they live differently than them... not letting them get married isn't going to make them go away.. they are still going to live next door to you, they are still going to shop at the same stores as you, they are still going to work with you.. the only thing you are going to do is upset them, so they will be more in your face with parades and such.... as soon as American citizens realize that we all live together, and we are all different, and we all come from different backgrounds, and we all live differently - then it would be better, but until they learn that and feel they have the right to dictate how other people live then people will continue advocating for gay people...I'm not gay, but I believe in and love my country and what it stands for .. I feel this is putting a black spot on it, because this is not what this country was built on.. it was built on we are all EQUAL

Liberals do not want to make it the norm. They just want gay people to have the same rights as you. Seriously why do you even give a s***? It doesn't affect you at all, not one bit. I will never understand people butting in on other peoples lives and telling them that they are wrong. If they aren't hurting others then just live and let live. Get your own life and leave everyone else alone.

That is a totally erroneous conclusion on your part. Being gay will never "be the norm" they are only around 12% of the population, so relax.

They don't, silly.
By the way, God doesn't make "aberrations". You need to learn to accept the variety in which He makes people. He is watching you.

THEY are not happy unless they are waving a flag at something...But in truth, if Americans were more accepting of homosexuality it would benefit ALL of us, now and in generations to come...Why, you ask?
Because sexual ambiguity exists in all creatures great and small, when humans suppress it socially it encourages those more inclined to be sexually attracted to the same sex to hide this "embarrassing tendency" and try to lead a "normal" life, get married have kids etc. perpetuating their genes into the next generation...Additionally, when society makes something taboo, the misfits and rebels will find it attractive and dabble in it, often to disastrous social consequence (a-la Jeffrey Dhamer and Cho.)
It would actually be more beneficial to ENCOURAGE homosexuality, especially in adolescents. In that type of social environment young people may choose to more safely experiment sexually (and they will ALWAYS experiment in any social context,) those who do not have a naturally stronger attraction to the opposite sex will be less likely to have unwanted pregnancies and WILL NOT ONLY FREE FROM OPPRESSION, BUT BE LESS LIKELY TO PASS THEIR HOMOSEXUAL GENES TO THE NEXT GENERATION. Obviously, this solution works well for everyone
