no it does work that way..I've simplified the statement only... it's just that simple, our income tax goes straight to the interest for the federal reserve...

You are overstating things a bit, we spend approximately $500 billion each year on interest for the deficit, not 1.3 trillion.

Added - If the deficit rose, that means we borrowed more. Not one cent went to pay off more of the deficit. I stand by my number of $500 billion to service the debt, the rest of the revenue did go to services, with even more from our grandchildren to pay back the Chinese than at start of the year.

It is criminal that our government is doing this to us, but we need to see the light in an accurate way.

Well, I have a subsidized student loan and I recieved a Federal Pell grant. They did this because I will be a functional member of society who will give back in my long career as a nurse, when I graduate this May. You should appreciate this seeing as there is a nursing shortage, think about it next time you become ill. (The elite often don't become nurses and school is expensive)

EDIT: My loan is FEDERALLY subsidized (meaning they paid the interest on it while I was in school, in order to keep the payback amount at a static amount.) And the Perkins loan comes from Federal money.

I will agree that our deficit is way out of control, and it does bother me, but some services such as the ones I used need to stay in order to keep our country great.

The US government should repudiate the national debt. If necessary, it should amend the 14th Amendment so that debt repudiation becomes constitutional. In my opinion, this wouldn't be necessary, since the 14th Amendment was not legally legislated nor ratified to begin with. But, whatever it takes, erase the national debt, and you'll have 300 billion dollars of extra spending money every year from then on.

It doesn't quite work that simplistically, but, you are correct in that we have a massive federal deficit under Bush that requires borrowing on our part.
