My Dad just replaced my timing belt...its all back together but the timing is off...when he put new belt on he didnt move the camshaft 3 teeth like it says to do in book....my timing is a little off. Can he take distributer and move it to compensate the 3 teeth?

ITs a 92 civic 1.5 ltr 5 speed

the short answer is to take the timing belt back off and set it properly. You'll spend more time trying to find top dead center with the timing marks off in order to remove the distributor and reinstall it than it will take to pull the belt off and set it properly. take the hour or two to do it right.
