NOTE: By democrat, I mean one who believes in democracy, not in the pop political sense.

Walmart cooperates with communist governments, destroys all competition, and uses propaganda and anti-union operatives to stomp out worker's rights. Isn't Walmart the Nazi/Soviet regime of the private sector? Why do capitalists defend it?

I'm from Arkansas. We loathe Wal-Mart and shop only at Target or other stores if we need something. I'm not proud they're based in my native state and I hope you know that it doesn't reflect our people or our nature.

Wal Mart is a private organization. It is not a government. And now, a lot of people are saying a big "no thank you" to Wal Mart - they don't always get what they want. The capitalists that defend it might own stock in it. I do shop at Wal Mart occassionally, but most of the stuff I buy usually comes from someplace else. Wal Mart is big, but it still doesn't rule the world, and it is not the only business that cooperates with communist governments... President Bush recently opened the stock exchange... in Vietnam... this means that even the communists are dropping true communism. Now they are dictatorships, and eventually even that will probably fall by the wayside, because in an information age communism can not survive.

walmart cooperates with communist governments? how is that? lots of capitalist businesses operate in communist states by the way. (see Yahoo for one.)

destroys all competition....lol... that's called free market. part of capitalism.

propaganda.... i think they call that advertising.

anti-union? unions are as socialist/communist as it gets. we all know that the communist Soviet Union even recruited some of its best spies from within their ranks. "workers' right" is a misleading term for communism.

you couldn't have your analysis more backwards than you do. it's pretty much the opposite of what you think. then again, i suspect you are a far-left walmart-hating agitator who hates anything relative to America, Democracy or Capitalsim.

We can't, and the sooner our legislation matches the evidence, the better.
Walmart has been responsible for forcing companies to china...example rubbermade wanting to increase wholesale price to reflect increased cost of raw materials and Walmart saying no...same was being done to the last TV mfg in US couple years ago, don't know if they are still mfg here.
Walmart doesn't pay benefits, and their working poor healthcare bill being paid by taxpayers, while their top execs. paid obscene amounts.
Walmart wanting to go into banking, hopefully stopped. Walmart destroys small business hardware stores, drug stores, family grocery stores...Small business and other competitors that offer benefits and better pay find it difficult to compete against Walmart's costs.

Because small businesses deserve to die.
Because we are sheep who only value
our own wallets.
Because they have a brightly lit parking lot
that draws us like moths to a flame.

Because Wal-Mart is just another
corrupt Republican company.
That's all the explanation needed.

Don't be so naive...

Aside from some foreign policy issues, there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans.

It's all about the $$$$!!!
