pride . the German people had for a great long time thought of themselves as being a great nation the nation from which all the European kings and queens descended.
at the end of world war one the conditions of surrender were such that Germany was left with out a military and was in great dept as they were to pay the cost of the great war.
Hitler did not rise to power as a result of legal means but instead used a number of illegal back room deals and threats to gain power.
once he became the leader of Germany his speaking ability was such that he was able to work the audience into a trace like frantic state . he used greed of the Germans lust of the Germans and pride of the Germans to further his popularity.
at present with political correctness one would after reading modern PC accounts of the Nazi party come to think that the Germans were not even a part of the Nazi movement .
this we know is false . the people of Germany were by a majority pleased with the idea's of Hitler . his idea's being that Germany was destined to be the master race. this was popular and this was how the Nazi party was able to gain such great power.

Well, your assuming he was a weak, old white guy. When Hitler was coming to power he was still pretty young. He was also a great speaker, he knew how to motivate people and grab their attention. I heard he took class's on how to stand certain ways so he can subconsciously dominate people he spoke with. I also hear he had orgasms while giving speeches because the power he had over people got him off so much, i don't know how much of that one is true, but i believe it. When Hitler joined the Nazis he used the Jews as the escape goats because Germany was in a horrible situation after WW1. He blamed the Jews for the loss of the war and the problems in Germany. Too bad many ignorant people believed him and helped him rise to power. Look at North Korea, a 4ft. tall Asian guy who controls the lives of an entire population.

If you add the Great Depression, the Treaty of Versailles revengeful motives against a crippled economic nation,a pre conceived notion on the parts of the people for centuries that the Jews were to blame for the economic, social, and political problems from the Middle Ages to the Great Depression, a basic hunger to listen to and respect anyone who promised a new Germany under a nationalistic spirit that Germany was a super nation and be resurrected under the flight of the phoenix then you could see how Hitler who was an oratorical phenomenon could twist the minds of a people who was desperate to rid themselves of disgrace, economic nightmare, and a return to greatness would tickle their ears to create this utopia.

He got a ton of Germans interested in the Nazi party.
Nazi stands for National German Worker's party (in German) and they were big into German nationalism.
They held huge gatherings to get everyone to feel good about Germany. When they finally did start exterminating people it was too late for people to pull out without getting killed themselves.
There also was previous anti-semitism in Europe so people listened to Hitler when he blamed all of Germany's problems on the Jews. They were an easy target.

Hitler didn't campaign on a platform of genocide. He promised the German people socialized medicine, better roads and higher education. All of which he gave them. By the time his true agenda came to light he was already in power. He treated the non-elite germans poorly too. If you weren't a blue-eyed blonde BOY you were pretty screwed.

germany was in a very bad position. the treaty of versailles practically blamed them for everything, and they lost alot of things from it. they were desperate and hitler took advantage of that fact and started talking all his nonsense, he was a great manipulator and everyone was brainwashed and were so desperate for a leader that they actually went his way..thats why..

Hitler was a very powerful and persuasive speaker. If you hear something enough, repeated over and over, you start to believe it. Brainwashing.
