Yes and no. There are pressure waves whether any creature is around to hear it or not. But if 'noise' is only in the head of the receiver and nothing is around to hear, then no.

But, if a tree falls down in the woods and hits a Mime, does he make a noise?

specific, it does. For, the only occassions under which it makes no sound in any respect, are while there is not any medium to connection with this sound. this is obviously impossible for timber choose soil and air to advance. Thereby, any tree will make noise while it falls. notice that I definitely have purely pronounced the area of this tree for issues needless to say nonetheless make noise in spite of wether all and sundry hears them. Take this occasion: infared gentle is everywhere together as no human can see it. this question is in accordance with a bad philosophy because of the fact of 18th century fools. they could declare the tree makes no sound by their foltering good judgment, whether that's fake regardlessly.

Depends on what you regard as sound. The actul sound, or the sound-waves.

If it is the first, then there is no soun, because no-one could've heard it. But if you see it as the second, then it IS sound, since there always are soundwave if something falls down.

Of course, from a philosofical point of view, you can say that that is doubtful, since no-one has ever been abel to test it. But it's up to you to decide how you think about it.
