I mean, if we closed down the BATF, the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, Homeland Security etc. etc. etc. and just let everyone carry a gun for personal protection everywhere including courtrooms, I'd feel alot safer knowing that even though there's whack jobs out there with guns, they're outnumbered 10 to one by honest people with good intentions and even better aims.

Besides, it would reduce the cost of government by about 90%!

What do you think?

Absolutely!

Concerning the absolute horror that occurred in Virginia (my
stomach, even now, turns at the remembrance of hearing of it), I have observed a couple of interesting "newsworthy" items:
1) It has been mentioned that a person of arguable mental stability was allowed to legally purchase firearms.
2) It has been reported that the perpetrator was from South Korea, and this seems important to them.
3) This horrid behavior can only be curtailed by more gun control.

My main observation, for better or worse, is that perhaps the Swedes (oh, is that racist?) have it right, with the laws that mandate firearm ownership. To be blunt, if Cho knew his classmates were packing, this tragedy may never have happened.

My second opinion is that: who gives a rat's @ss where he came from? If I were pure Native American (as opposed to the mostly WASP hybrid I really am) I would call everybody foreigners.

My last speculation is that "evil" is afoot, as it is both within and without. Our Constitution promises the right to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness", but there are those, even born here, that seem to be offended by these concepts.

I don't support closing down those agencies but I think the we need to let up on Gun Control. VT could have been prevented if the University would have allowed students over 21 and teachers to carry a firearm on campus.

These agencies are all Federal agencies, and were created for differing reasons, and not gun control.
