As long as our culture promotes greed, the answer is no.
In greed, people do not care about one another and what the impact of their actions might be.
Generation after generation, we keep teaching young people that greed is acceptable. We also then live with the consequences of our social beliefs.

Even the autonomous CBI is openly helping the ruling party supremo in Bofors case by delaying the extradition of the key person detained in Argentina.. While the courts and the institutions like the Election commission are trying to assert their autonomy positively, the CBI is not able to do it.. Such weak people in charge of important work of rooting out corruption is the greatest curse of our times..
As some people have rightly answered, the mindset of people should change first.. People want to get things done by paying bribe rather than wait or fight for justice..
But there is still hope. Just like Mr.Seshan gave life to the Election Commission some hero would come to man institutions like CBI and book the VIPs engaged in fostering unethical practices like corruption.. If the leaders are clean the people would follow..

That's what the founders attempted to do by establishing a Constitutional Republic. But the 14th Amendment gave the government the opportunity to turn everyone into second class citizens and now they're all subject to every commercial code, rule, regulation and statute without Constitutional rights.
The only way to curtail the corruption of government is to stop consenting to it. Write to s2scrm@yahoo.com for information.

Immediately abolish all financial dealings through cash. Literally there should be no usage of currency. Every transaction through the bank/credit or debit cared. It all should be on board. Root out black money. Corruption is always done with the black money. Solution is simple. But, the political and official leadership do not want to do that for lack of will.

Hey I don't like BN too but some leaders from BN are good... those who doesn't care what post they take... some DAP are good too and so are some PKR but I can say all parlimentarian are just stupid kids given super power deciding on our way of life by shouting a lot, planing a little and no thinking at all.... I think Malaysian parliment member... all of them are just kids in kindergarten. For your previous question, yes I have been depressed before but I just move on... sometimes things just not that nice but never give up... the world are changing... Try to believe and if more people believe that they have the power to change the world... I will be very very happy. Please believe that if there are more people who believe in their faith and have the courage to stand up for themselves... Malaysia will one day CHANGE FOR THE GOOD OF ALL MALAYSIAN

Being dissatisfied is one of the things that make us stronger, living as we do in one of the few countries that have a higher standard of living than any other time or place in history.
Our poor complain when they don't have a CD/DVD player and T.V., (though we have a 4% base of people who CHOOSE to have nothing, and always will).
We're dissatisfied because we KNOW what is possible due to the freedom we have, the sharing of knowledge and ideas. We know more is possible, and WE WANT IT!
Better than countries that fear freedom, steal from one group to pay others for sitting on their rears, etc.

To stop corruption the main measure is first of all we should stop paying extras to gov employee,we think that after paying this we can easily achieve the task .
but this makes that gov officer corrupt, and when we fail to pay the will not going to work on that task, because they know that u will pay any howbut instead of paying we should inform anticorruption dept to stop this .

Yes. If you have less demand, there will be less corruption. I am satisfied with my old mobile phones. If you always want latest model, you may get it thru corruption. I want more but I am satisifed with honest earning. I have more than 6000 points for satisfaction.
