What year and how many miles, the Cadillac is a good vehicle but has many issues depending on the year and what type of maintenance was preformed on it.
The Volvo again depends on the year but in my opinion is a better choice, but it will cost more for any types of repairs.
For example the Volvo has less recalls than the Cadillac does and remember that these recalls many or many not involve you vehicle.
I would do a lot of research before buying any of this two vehicles and if you do decide to purchase either one, I would strongly recommend that you get as much information about the vehicle and let someone like an independent garage check it from top to bottom.
Lastly if at all possible buy from and individual instead of some dealer, you will be better off in the long run.

Volvo's are Ford's. You know what fine financial shape they are in.
Go for new 07 Cadillac with a 100,00 warranty. It's a no brainier!
