whats the point in war, violence makes things worse.ppl should resolve problems through words,what do u think?

* how i agree with you.we have the so called big men looking at each other across a table ,they decide they can,t agree to disagree and bang,lots of young innocent men and women have to go and kill each other.it would be a much better idea to put the vote to the people and abide by our decision ,or perhaps we should let these big men fight it to the death instead.

So we should still be talking to Hitler? War is ugly and horrific. But as Winston Churhill said sometimes you need to give war a chance. I have fought in war and I will tell you to avoid it at all cost, but we as humans are not perfect and sometimes there is not other option. In the current sense talking to terrorists is useless. They have no use for peace and will destroy it at every turn, regardless of what they say in public. This is going to be a very long and ugly war. Hopefully we stop fighting with a hand behind our back and relaize the seroiusness and dealiness of the situtation at hand.

Isn't it funny that until the breakdown of the USSR no democratic country had ever launched a war of aggression. Jaw jaw better than War war has Churchill said Unfortunately the world will always have people wanting to impose their will upon others.

I think there is no good part of War and should be avoided if possible. However a legitimate point of war would be defense against a brutal attacker/invader or the defense of helpless innocent people

Many people want to gain power, due to part of evolution (more powerful=more likely to survive). Many people use it to gain resources or because they are xenophobic/racist.
Mordernised nations now generally go to war to defend themselves or people in other countries.
In world war two Chamberlain tried to resolve it in words, the war could have ended much earlier if he hadn't. Many more people died because of that nieve view!

That's a nice thought but it will never happen.
There will always be greedy or maniacal rulers who want to take over the world or kill groups of people they hate and so on.
We will always have to defend ourselves and our allies from the advances of the nations ruled by those individuals.

Well from the point of view of the English it makes us rich and means I can laze around and play on this computer it's pretty good really if you've been on the winning side for century's.

War is people too old to fight sending people too young to know better to fight.
I could never see how wise men see the wisdom in a war.
Theres no profit in peace.

Nice idea, never happen.
If you succeed, someone who's starving wants a cut. And they'll take it if they have too.
So you have to keep a standing army.
A standing army has a power of it's own.
Eventually power gets used.
And round we go again.
Yawn, bored. Nothing you can do about it.
