There are two towns in the US that have the name "Kansas City" -- one is "Kansas City, Kansas" and the other is "Kansas City, Missouri."
The state capital of Kansas is Topeka.
The state capital of Missouri is Jefferson City.
Neither of the "Kansas City" locations is a state capital.
Sometimes KC is called "The World Capital of Barbecue" but I don't think that's what you meant...
