We live in a great city. What's there to complain about?
Seriously, people are treated the way they deserve to be treated. If you were happy with the way you were treated in Dallas, it is because you, yourself, are a nice person and you were polite and friendly to others you met. I'm sure that there were times when people were less than courteous, but you choose not to focus on those and rather remember the many good things. Good for you! The world needs more people like you.

Aw, you're sweet. I've lived in Dallas for ten years and I don't think the people there are particularly nice, so I'm glad you've had a better experience there.

The land is big, flat and boring, and we have to find beauty in each other.
Oh, yes. And there is the dangerous weather...
In the summertime, we have to be nice to everyone in case our air conditioning breaks. In the wintertime, we have to be nice to everyone in case we lose our heat in an ice storm. In between, we might need a place to stay because of tornados.

It's hard sometimes, especially behind the wheel here. But my motivation comes from wanting to be treated the same way, you know "do unto others." It is incredibly nice for someone to acknowledge it, even though I will genuinely admit that I wish I could experience it more. Thanks!

Most of us here are CHRISTIANS! We love Jesus and we were brought up to treat others how we wanted to be treated. Most of us are respectful and well mannered...however not all of us as you can see from the above answer.
Most of us take great pride in our state and in our families. We base our opinions on a handshake and a friendly face and not on what you wear or your accent.
In Texas everyone is welcome, but remember not to mess with our state.
