The first and highest from of art here in America is "politics", it is what we allow to be practiced by those who we supposedly elect as our leaders while at the same time disengaging ourselves from them by voting in the first place. The second form I would say is "literature",...we have endless books by geniouses who've never been read by the whole of the nation but it doesnt matter because we are content to be told what we like anyway......the third is "industrialism" which we are damn good at but which we allow to be held down by "politicians".....I'm an artist as a profession so I'd have to rule that out because it bores me, it is a job after all. The highest form of art to myself is "BAR BE QUE" & "RELIGION", you can always count on those two things being different from one side of town to another all across the nation..and I was trained as a preacher but I find it hypocritcal so I allow others to preach cuz I dont want to be guilty by association.... and...I absolutely think bar be que is art for the belly and taste buds.....and both things are good if you taste a little of all of it.........The only other thing I can say that Americans do well is "sensationalize" what the networks think news is and how many commericals can be put into one program and still keep your attention so long as you have a remote control....Walter Cronkite, Dan rather & Peter Jenkins are American artists......unreknown as yet as national treasures just as Rodney Dangerfield, and George Bush jr. are comedians on erstwhile opposite sides of a coin....Janis Joplin, Woody Guthrie and Stevie Ray Vaughan, are all national treasures as artists Just as "Nancy Grace" is the Biggest famous ambulance chaser that was ever allowed to be seen on t.v, and in as much "should have a hall of fame all her own" only approached by Jeraldo Rivera in a lagging race for the lowest form of life known to mankind and not to be outpaced by "tokyo rose" during ww-2.....In general and in sum, The greatest art form in America is "slight of hand".....to such an extent that we have duped ourselves out of who we really are and in so much as I believe this to be true, "it is the foulest form of art that exists".......by far however none of this is to be outdone by the motto on our currency first posted by our forefathers......"In God We Trust".....for it is absolutely the most untrue thing that has ever been printed by people we hired to enturst our very fates to..... and is in my opinion, "an afront to god" and I imagine he is not very pleased at it's inclusion on something he says "he despises"....just my opinions..man this was fun!.......at least the internet doesnt have an obvious gestapo....yet.......I am waiting for that boot to drop any minute.
