I'm 14, some people say that I'm to young to grasp this concept. Oh well! Anyway, to my point. Is something far beyond the human understanding limits occuring in our world presently? i say this due to the fact that in the past week, there's been the virgina tech massacre, the seige at NASA, and I live in CA so I heard about a threat to schools in Yuba county, saying that it'll make VT look small. The man behind the threats though was caught. I think god is saying something, in my opinon. What do you think? Not to get all biblical and stuff, but do you think that what is happening, like mass killings in a week, could maybe signify the end times of the world? Plus the bombing in iraq that killed at least 300 people in a day. Pls your opionon would be greatly appreciated! Serious answers only!!

I can tell you something that if were not for the situation would be comical.
I lived in Sicily for 5 years, and I used to say, that Sicily is a beautiful place; unfortunately there are so many sicilians to ruin the place ...
So what's happening to the world? We screw up, that's what.

I think that people are beginning to take the crazy and mentally ill people less serious as cause not to "offend anybody's rights." They are also beginning to be more open to new ideas, which can cause tyranny in countries that can cause genecides in poor countries that can't stand up to the law like we can here.
After watching his videos on the news, the man who killed 32 at Virginia Tech was, truly, crazy due to mental illness and they still let him into the campus without monitoring his behavior. This is what happens when you see trouble brewing, but do nothing about it.
In Iraq and similar countries that don't have the best gonvernment ever, it was a powerlust that causes these bombers to do what they do. What makes them tick is cuasing fear within the people so they will listen to them. If they can scare the citizens bad enough, they will give into the tyranny. If the citizens stand strong, these ppowerlustful people will attack them and show them EXACTLY how strong they are. I believe that also might have to do with the killer from Virginia Tech.
God wouldn't take a life for no reason. I've never met God, mind you, but I know this! He wouldn't take a life if He didn't mean for the death to teach the living. He might be telling us to pay more attention to the what is going on around us and what we're letting sit that should be getting taken care of.
We've managed to slack off a little in our gaurding the people from danger. God tries the best He can to protect us, but when we don't listen to his signs, things like this happens.
I'm trying not to get too Biblical either, but I (in my opinion) think is a time where we should thank God that those that survived were able to, that we should ask that the dead rest peacefully and to forgive them for their wrongs, also, to ask for guidance. We could all use a little more wisdome than we have now. It looks to me now like we need it.

Well, I am 59 and in my time there have been lots of atrocities like these, and history records many more.
There were much more massive killings during WWII, and there will be again. History doesn't exactly repeat itself, but there are cycles. My opinion is that we are now entering into and increasingly violent part of the historical cycle. It will come and your generation will have a crucial part in fighting and restoring peace, and rebuilding afterwards. It will be a heroic time.
God is always speaking to us through events. I don't think it is the end of the world, but perhaps the end of an age. I pray that God will guide the people.

It always seems like this at this time of year now. A cluster of evil events have their anniversary around mid-April: Hitler's birthday, the Oklahoma City Bombing, Waco, Columbine I think maybe the first World Trade Center bombing and now this. The evil energy feeds on itself. But things should normalize a bit now.

What is happening to the World?
Man, and Man's arrogance, ignorance, and stupidity. This plane is a learning and experience training ground for Man.
Okay, so what does that mean?
It means that we are here to learn and expereince all aspects of life so that we realize that in order for us to be happy in our lives we need to find Peace, Love, and Joy within ourselves. Once we find Peace, Love, and Joy there sill be no need for us (as "individuals") to try to impose our will or ways of thought or beliefs on others.
Great. So what does that mean?
It means that there needs to be a tremendous shift in consciousness in Man in order for these wars and atrocious acts fo violence on others to stop. This shift in consciousness is the absolute realization that WE (you, I, shi'ites, sunnis, christians, hindus, black, white, red, pink, US, THEM, whatever label you want to use) are all connected. And, indeed, whatever you do to yourself and others has an impact on everyone else on this planet--whether you, I, or anyone else realizes it or not.
Wait, this is getting a bit strange. Whaddya mean whatever I do affects everyone else?
Just that. Once you get away from being "I"-centric in your life, you'll see that this illusion of being "alone," "separate," or "disconnected" is what drives Man to kill, subjugate, murder, rape, and abuse others and be extremely unhappy with himself and his life.
So, how do you break out of that self-imposed box?
Educate yourself. Read books on alternate ways of bettering yourself and enhancing yourself spiritually. The bible, q'ran, kabala, and other texts on which religions are based haven't worked. That is very evident because of all the violence these books have caused over the past 2500+ years.
I would recommend more modern ways of looking at spirituality and self-development, such as Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, the Dali Lama, Deepak Chopra, Dan Millman, and others who explain what we (Humans) are here on this plane to accomplish. Keep an open mind, and if this different way of thinking and looking at the world is for you, great. If not, find another way that works for you.
May you walk in Peace, Love, and Joy!

Things like this have always happened in the world. You just haven't been around long enough to realize it. Read some history.

Statistics. Our overwhelming population explosion combined with the increasing anonymity of individuals within the populace and the instantaneous velocity with which information is disseminated creates a higher percentage of "unusual" individuals brought to our attention.
