i'm falling in love with myself... i know i'm not physically perfect but everytime i look at my reflection, I just can't keep from staring at my own image. Sometimes I even feel a strong lust. I'm not gay. It's just that I love my own image but sadly i can't have "me" to be with me. I hope my question makes sense... =j

In a way, you are luckier than most. You love yourself at least. Some people loathe who they are. But even with your imperfections, you still love you.

But, you have taken it to a great extent. It's not good to lust over oneself and want them as a lover. If you only love yourself, you will miss out on some great opportunities of meeting new people. As I am reading the Narcisstic Personality Disroder symptoms, I am not quite sure if this fits you. Do any of these symptoms relate to you?

Grandiose sense of one's own abilities or achievements
Fantasies about having exceptional power, attractiveness or success
Sense of belonging to an exclusive group of people who truly understand each other
Need for constant praise
Expectations of special treatment
Exploitation of other people
Lack of empathy for other people
Envy of other people or a belief that you are the subject of other people's envy
Haughty or arrogant behaviors

So, in all, you might want to check into NPD if you exhibit any of the above signs. If not, you have to really cool down and look for others to love. Perhaps even get rid of some of your mirrors? =)

This is called "Narcissism", falling in love with self. Actually, you are not the only one doing this. Most people, when see their image in mirror, admire themselves.Self respect is good. But you should also know that this body is like a house. We should take care of it, but we should be detached from it always. The Self is existence, knowledge and bliss Absolute.

Love is a chemical in the brain just like chocolate........nah, just kidding. Love to me is that thing, feeling or what have you, that makes you do, say, and be what ever it is that seem out of the question before, but is a real possibility today. Just like the basic necessities, something that no one, not even the hardest heart can be without. And the last time I checked, there is no danger in a need......wants yes, needs no.

You are right, you have correctly diagnosed yourself as a narcissist. I don't know what they do for that. Maybe see a psychiatrist and see what they recommend.
Otherwise, go seek out a chick with your similar features.

It's good to love yourself, just be careful not to let it turn into conceit because that's ugly on a person.

Remember that beauty is temporary and that it won't last forever and if you put all your stock in something that will disappear what will you do when it's gone?

its totally fine to love yourself, in fact its good! but don't let yourself become cocky. once you start thinking you're better than others, it's a problem.
