LOL...I've always heard rumors about people's nails turning black when they slam them in something or drop something on them. So is it true what happens next? Is my nail going to fall off? I honestly could care less what happens to the PSP...I never used that thing that much to begin with...

no its just bruised. thats what happens when u bruise a nail.

Possibly, when I was little I was helping my grandpa carry firewood and I dropped a huge piece of wood on my big toe. The nail turned black and slowly raised.. Then disgustingly fell off in the shower one day and creeped me out! But don't you worry, if this does happen, there's already a new nail forming underneath the damaged one =)

That happened to me in the service. A guy dropped his rifle and the front sight impacted on my front toe. My foot swelled up like a football and the nail turned black and came off. Then a new one grew in. Don't worry about it.

Hi, nothing to worry about, you must have banged or stubbed your toe, it is just bruised, the nail might fall of or the blackness will grow out, if it is excessively painful then go and see your gp but you should be absolute fine

Due to blunt injury to your nail there is collection of the blood below your nail. if the pain is continuous and is increasing then u may have to puncture just below the nail and take out the blood that is going to decrease the pressure. fresh nail is going to come up below this nail and this nail shall fall off in a months time

maybe, i got hit on the nail by a 90 mph hard baseball, it fell out.

there is a 95% chance that it will fall off, but later it grows back as normal .if did not fall off itself you can remove it surgically (if it bothers you).

depends how bad it is, usually it won't, it'll take a while before the bruising goes away
