Let's say that instead of painting the walls of my bedroom with a plain color like most of the people do, I decided to paint them with the Louis Vuitton's logo so that all the walls look like this: http://www.laist.com/attachments/la_carolyn/louisvuittoncar.jpg

Would that be copyright infringement even if I don't try to sell anything? Could I actually get sued by LV? If so, why?

It's more of a trademark issue, really. I suppose you could put a disclaimer on your door saying that your bedroom is not endorsed by LV...

If you are not selling any thing then I don't think so, but if you ended up selling the house then it would be best to re-paint.

if louie saw yr bedroom he'd be pissed. even if yr not selling anything there. i bet louie sued the guy with those logos on their car, since its more visible.

you would only be breaking the law if you sold something with the logo that wasn't authorized by louis vuitton.

ps i think that would look really cute..you should do it!
