if you are a tourist in some foreign land, than a scooter would be more practical and fun. if you are cruising around your hometown town on a scooter you will get laughed at. get a motorcycle!!

From my point of view, the scooter is more fun, but remember this opinion comes from a man with 40 more "easy payments" left to go.
But honestly, I really like my Honda Reflex. It can get going as fast as 80mph, has a glass smooth ride, and, when I behave myself, will get 70 MPG. The Reflex is only a 250cc bike, just imagine what a Yamaha Majesty 400 or Suzuki Burgman 650 could do.

Both are fun! I have a motorcycle, scooter and a bicycle. I enjoy anything on two wheels.

Niether, or both. Fun isn't about what you ride, it's about how much you like it, and your whole attitude in general. I ride an old Jap bike (watch old CHiPS rerun, just like those.), but had a blast on a rented scooter on vacation, and have have never laughed so hard as when I got clotheslined off a 50cc suzuki trailhopper. Don't let a 'thing' dictate how much fun you're going to have. Just have fun.
I saw a kid with a chopped moped, something like 24" over front end. Looked rediculous, and he and his friend were having a gas! They thought they looked so cool. I guess they kinda were cool.

Scooters are fun, but because of the low power, inadequate suspension and small wheels (causing instability at speeds), they'll get boring after awhile. Just for riding to the store and back, or around the neighborhood, you'll get your moneys worth.

depends on what you are useing it for scooter is for just cruseing at low speeds and motorcycles are built for speed
