I raised pygmies for a few years. They are fairly calm, very mischievous, and if they are handled enough are quite a bit like a dog. Mine would walk on a leash and follow me around the yard.
They can also be tough to keep secured, I had one who would jump a six foot wooden fence. Jump, not climb.
When they have babies, they are no bigger than a cat and need to be kept warm and dry. Sometimes you will have to bottle feed the babies if there are too many babies or not enough milk.
Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

I don't know much about pygmy goats, but I work with normal goats and I believe that pygmy goat care is the same, but on a smaller scale.

You can get halters made of rope for them and with a bit of training you can take them for walks (making sure that there aren't dogs that are going to attack them of course)

they ones that I met personally were kept with fainting goat. The pygmy's were also so confused when the others hit the ground. But they were sweet as anything and great with the other animals.

They are definitely cuties! I saw a special on them and though they are small they can be a bit feisty. They can climb small trees and when frightened unexpectedly, they seize (play dead)! Just for a minute or so, then they come back to life. You might want to invest in a little tykes slide (a used one perhaps) or they would love that one with the castle and the slide because they're really playful and love playing king of the mountain! They are such Sweeties! You are soooo lucky! Have fun!
