i am thinking from a transsexual side of things
as it is right now if i were to be married being a m2f
(i am not married this it to make a point)
being my male self having a wife
if i where to have a sex change /SRS
i need to have a devours to have it
(a laws i also think needs to be changed)
then how the laws are at the moment
i can not marry that same woman
or any other woman
but on the other hand being my male self
i can not marry a man / male
until after my operation to become female
i do believe if it is love, marriage can wait
but marriage i not only only love
it is a legal document of a state or country
a statement that two people share them selves and belongings housing
i think many homosexuals are not suited for marriage
but those few that are
should be able to

I definitely support gay marriage because everyone has a right to marry whom ever they want whether that person is gay, straight, bisexual, transgendered or whatever!!!!!!!! Gay people are some of the nicest people out there all they want to do is love, I would know that because I'm a lesbian and someday I want to marry my girlfriend. My sister is lesbian too and if she wants to get married to a women let her if she's happy good. This whole world just needs to let people live their life and make their own decisions.

Of course. Civil marriage should be available to all consenting couples of legal age regardless of the composition of their gender. There are over 1,100 federal benefits afforded to married couples and most of which "marriage" (not unions) is specifically called out in the text of the laws which provide these benefits. This would not only create fairness and equality but would also create a more stable framework for same-sex couples who are rearing children and protect the rights and property for same-sex couples should one spouse become incapacitated or die.
An important distinction to note is the difference between civil marriage and religious marriage. Many opponents protest because they do not wish to have their church forced to perform same-sex weddings. This is a red herring because each church or denomination can determine what they sanction or do not sanction. Civil marriage is what same-sex couples are fighting for so it really should not be an issue.

I support people having the right to be happy and married to the right person..
Buuuuut I find it kind of odd when it comes time to raise children...Kids need a Mom and a Dad (and this goes for single parent homes too)
I think it only becomes a problem to large cultural institutions like our health system and the church... Would that mean you can share your health insurance with your new spouse?? and couldn't this open-up to even more marriage scams??
I think it has less to do with morals and more to do with ...
how much THE SYSTEM would have to change...

I so support gay marriage My best friend of 13 years told me me was gay and I wasn't surprised but he one day wants to marry a guy and I support him and any other gay that wants to get married. what are we to say that only women/men marriages are right. Marriage is about love and affection not whats on your chest or between your legs.

Of course. We impart certain rights and privileges to married persons that are not available to unmarried couples (tax issues, survivorship issues, next of kin issues, insurance, ownership, ...). The reason that we do is that families are stronger than individuals. It is in the interest of society to promote and foster the creation of families with these benefits. So it does not even make sense to deny the right to form a household, a family, to anyone. It is actually harmful to society as a whole that we continue to deny marriage and the forming of families to any segment of society.

i think that gay marriage is perfectly fine some argue that not as many kids willbe born but how many gay people have kids whether or not they are married i am not gay but i am all for getting married for love and regardless to what kind of genitals your partner possesses if my sister was gay i would want her to do whatever she wanted and be treated equally just like if my mom was gay or anyone else for that matter

Yes I support gay marriages, because I am bisexual. If people can't marry they love no one should be able to get married.

if your a transsexual using m-f as example and married after the op you can still remained legaly married to your female spouse as there is no law that can force the dissolution of marriage , however tho if you and she should get divorced then there could be no remarrige . you chose to be a girl so given the law accept you as such then your legal spouse would then have to be a male as gay marrige is not legal .
