It is a very plain style of furniture found in missionaries made known and marketed to the public by the Stickley furniture company. In many cases the plain furniture style is considered collectible and valuable.
The other meaning is a position for male and female to have intercourse with the two laying down, Male on top and female under him.

One of the most common of sexual positions. It is purported to be called "the missionary position" or "missionary style" because it was supposable the only sexual position approved by certain Protestant denominations for their husband and wife missionary teams.
The woman lies on her back, with her legs either spread flat , drawn up toward her chest, or wrapped around her partner. Generally, the higher the woman lifts her legs, the deeper the penetration.
The man lies on his belly on top of the the woman, with his legs between her legs, and his penis at the same level as the her vagina to facilitate penetration.

Are you serious ? Standard man on top position. Given this name because the natives saw missionaries "do It" in this position, which was different to their own normal way, which was from behind(just in case an enemy or wild animal approached, so they would not be defenceless).
