We liberals aren't "soft" on crime or terrorism. We just don't feel that we should give up the Constitution that has served us so well for over 200 years in order to perhaps purchase some temporary safety.

The America that I used to know respected human rights, would never stoop to torture or secret prisons and would never invade a country that hadn't attacked it based on a tissue of lies. I miss that America.

An embryo is a clump of cells, whether you like it or not. It is NOT an "unborn" baby. The whole "unborn" thing is just the anti-choice way of trying to control the conversation by defining the terms.

And the phrase IS "anti-choice" because if you really want to see women butchered and killed by illegal back-alley abortions, then you sure as hell ain't "pro-life".

People *suspected* of terrorism do have rights--there's something called "innocent until PROVEN guilty." The Patriot Act gives the word "terrorist" a pretty broad definition!

And yes unborn children have the right to life as well.

I don't think anyone's really soft on terrorism...the thing is, the government is branding anyone not in agreement with them a terrorist--in violation of the First Amendment.

heh...we're hard on the unborn!?

I don't think we're running around hoping to nail the unborn to the wall for crimes against humanity!

We want people to have choices with their bodies. Nothing more, nothing less. Nobody is pro-abortion. Nobody.

We cannot have government controling what women do with their uteruses. That quickly becomes a slippery slope not unlike China's policies on birth.

And personally I think the death penalty should be used more often and in almost every case of sex offense. Sex offenses involving children should be automatic execution. We don't need their genes in the gene pool and we don't need to endanger more children if they've demonstrated a willingness to do so.

Why do Neocons rather see their own children suffering instead if supporting an affordable health care ? NOBODY is supporting abortion , they support the right to chose and this is not the same as somebody who is using its brain could see !
BTW I'm a pro life , but get your facts right , before you ask a useless question. Seems some neocons love to see suffer children and just don't care where they are from : Iraq or the USA , who cares , as long they suffer , right ?
Do you remember Timothy McVeigh? He was a terrorist too, born in Pendleton (New York) ! By your logic, you should have bombed Pendleton (New York) too ! Oh and all the towns around, you know it is the axis of evil !

We are not soft on crime. We don't support killing for killing, but that is not being soft. That is called being "humanitarian", but I doubt you've ever heard that word before.
I, for one, am an anti-abortion liberal. Don't group me with the rest of those murderers.
We do not defend the rights of terrorists. We defend the rights of EVERYONE. Conservatives want to limit the rights of EVERYONE, just so we make sure that some poor guy in Arizona isn't trying to find out what the war in Iraq is really about.

Why don't conservatives respect people that have already been born?

Grow up. Read about the conviction and execution of innocent people. Pay attention to the fact that of the high profile "terror cells" here in the USA, none of the charges actually brought involved terrorism because there wasn't any actual evidence. Read about the fate of women who wanted abortions in the 1940's, 50's, and 60's - and make sure you don't only read stuff from those who agree with you; read both sides. When you know something then make a decision, ask a question, but do it from a basis of knowledge.

OK Liberals, ignore the first part of the question and answer the second part then.

Edit - Ash the problems women faced in the 40-60s is still no reason to make it OK to kill unborn babies. Those women chose to do something that was illegal and usually very dangerous. Your right to choose ends after conception. You have no right to kill. Thats like saying lets legalize heroin for all because of the poor conditions and high rate of overdoses the addicts are subjected to.

You are misinformed. I suspect you get your misinformation from FOX News and HATE Radio. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I am liberal and Pro-Life. Stereotyping is silly!

Clinton did the crime crackdown. Mothers should choose if they can have children. Everybody has rights, whether you agree or disagree with them. If you disagree with me, mess with the constitution.
