Those aren't a parasite and will not harm your fish in any way. They are a pest though and live off of the plants. If you have smaller fish in your tank they would probably eat them if you wash the bugs off in the tank. Since you can't use anything to kill the bugs, that would be the best way to handle them. If the fish don't eat them, netting them off the surface of the water would probably be much easier than off the plant.

In Need didn't say whether she was talking about fish parasites or plant parasites. I'd keep trying to identify them, but I'd look at them as free fish food until then. Hatchetfish or African Butterfly Fish or Bettas would call it a buffet. Good luck.------PeeTee

They could be parasites. If that is the case, then it's important to get rid of them for the health of your fish. This may sound gross, but you should take one out of the tank, put it in a container, and take it to your local Petsmart, Petco, etc. and have them check it out. Do it for the health of your fish!
