I wouldn't ban it. Most people can responsibly handle alcohol. And a ban wouldn't work, any way. The US tried it - it was called Prohibition, and it fostered the growth of a criminal underworld that has taken years to start to control.

They tried that already and it didn't work. I think they need to legalize marijuana and give people a legal alternative.
I'd rather be around a pot smoker than an alcoholic any day of the week.

They tried banning it already. It was called Prohibition.

Interestingly enough countries like Germany don't have these sorts of problems nearly as much as we do. Maybe we should learn from them?

...............taxes. People are not going to stop drinking. The tax on cigarettes are pretty high, and people still buy them. So taxes would atleast help spread awareness, cause advertisement does cost money.
