Not if you answered it in Polls and Surveys because this is a funny bunch of wackos and we love each other even if it kills us. So some bitter squealer with no sense of humor nailed you with a technicality and got a thrill out of doing so. A warning: as you go higher up the ladder or your answers get TOO good, the Haters target you.
Sorry that happened but you got hung on violating the rule that says to answer a question in that format. You answered the question with another question and got nailed by some weasel or a goody-goody. And that's the truth. Be prepared to fight the negative forces here. Good luck.

Most likely it was the asker who reported you. They were probably too embarrassed to admit what they had really done, so decided to take this way out instead of just ignoring you or answering your question.
But don't worry about getting reported. I've had a few, and I'm at the point where if I have upset the tender, delicate, sensitive nature of someone that thin-skinned, I feel I've done them a service by helping them adjust to the real world.

i got the same problem.. after i asked that "last answerer will get 10 points" and after 3 days i choosed the last 1 as best... but after then i got email that voilation notice... even my questioned was finished.... but i got that.. anyways.. they are WOT?
i wannted to answer your question...
Put some ANTS on your keyboard and they will take all the rices out of that in few hours...lolzz...let them eat!!!

i got a violation like that once and i challenged mine.
but haven't heard anything from them on though. But does yahoo watch out for people who abuse the reporting button?

I got a violation for saying the temperature when asked "whats the weather like there" so don't feel bad.

Only one can guess. because no one knows who reports them, when I got violation notice they did not tell who reported you. sorry that happen to you.
