i m going to uni. after 5 yrs. out of which 4 yrs. i was doing job related to my field and one yr. was house wife. also i m going through separation and i m different country than my homeland. my course will be starting in sep. but i want to prepare myself from now but the problem is whenever i sit to read and try to concentrate, i start thinking about separation, why it happened to me etc. and end up closing the book. when i was a student before 5 yrs., i was a focused and bright student. now i want to become like that again and want to get really good grades, but hows that possible if i continue like this? please give me some good advice - i know it usually takes few years or months to get over separation but in this case, i must perform best in univ. and build my career again i do not have years or months to be sad about it. is there any book or something i can read and heal immediately? any other advice?

Focus on your future and not the past. Easier said than done, and sometimes we want to know the reason, but not always do we ever get the answer we are seeking. The only good advise I can give you is make yourself number 1 now and remember what you do now will reflect on the future. You will be sad about it and can't stop that, but each time you feel yourself thinking about it, say to yourself no, right now I have to do whatever to get through this and later I will think about that. Keeping busy helps so much. The only book to read to heal is the bible. I don't care what book you read you can not heal immediately. Time will also help you get through this and remember take it one day at a time.

If you are back in school, you can go to the student counselling office and speak with a psychologist there. It's usually free for students.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God.
Happiness comes from Him....and the answer to all your prayers.
