Marathon - Snickers sounds ridiculous ! Especially if you say something like "he's just eating his snickers" (his knickers???)!!!

Excellent question. I think I must have been about 9 or 10 when they changed the name from Marathon to Snickers. Although I now refer to them as Snickers they will always be Marathons to me. Opal fruits will also always be Opal fruits, I still refer to them as Opal Fruits and not Star Burst, maybe because I was a bit older when the name changed. On the subject of confectionary, have you noticed things are getting smaller too...Curly Wurlys were much bigger when I was a kid!

Yes it did used to be marathon,but it is now called snicker.YUMMY i love them,1 of my fave bars.been called snicker for a good few years now.

I used to love marathons, don't seem to see them about anymore =( but snickers will do there are just as nice mmm. now you've mentioned snickers now i fancy one so thanx for that lol =)

Unfortunately we have to buy Snickers, but they will always be called Marathon as far as I'm concerned.
