i have had issues with them having to credit me that amount 2x bc of overdraft fees which were not my fault, but this time there was no reason for it. it seems like it was just a mistake on their part. what should i do? would u return it if you were in my position?

The same happened to me.

I tried to keep it but they called me like a week after and I had to give the money back...

But as long as they don't call you... keep it, dear !

For your piece of mind notify the bank. It might be some charges from the past and now probably they returning you the money.I wouldn't take the money if they don't belong to me anyway...somebodyelse maybe counts on that amount and they might write a check,,, of course if it was a bank mistake... the bank will automatically fix the problem.

They are going to catch the error eventually. You might as well pay it back now instead of later if for some reason you bank account is less than $192. Then they will charge you OD fees.

I would question the deposit. I have had this happen once, when the person deposited their money I guess my Account Number was one number different and the Teller entered my number, so, that was where the money went, into my Account. I assume it would have been caught in time when the real depositor miss the money and complain.
You spend the money and then they fix it and you be overdrawn again and they charge you. Believe me this how it works.

you should question deposit if you can see it on-line cos if it's a cheque and it's a counterfeit one you never know you could be responsible of fraud, in case it's money too bad spend it but you have to make sure that if they ever ask you or call you that you are able to give back the money
