Sometimes two married people hook up because it is safer. Fewer sexual partners to worry about and perhaps both lovers are just looking for a little fun and neither of them wants to end their marriages. You also have to consider that there is less chance of having someone threaten to expose your affair... the other lover would be just as unhappy if their spouse found out they were unfaithful... Cheating is never a good thing, but those who are looking often seek out another married person... these kinds of affairs usually end clean and there is no jilted lover to worry about.

When they're both having an affair and doing the same thing, they won't feel as guilty! Mainly because they will never have to have a true relationship with eachother. They have both decided that this is only an affair and only for sex.
If she was single, she might fall in love and wait for him to end his marriage, maybe even ruin his marriage. If she's married, she probably could care less, because she has her own responsibilities, even if she's disrespecting them.
All it really is, is two people treating eachother with no respect, no morals and values. Just playing eachother for fools and using them for sex.
They're very ignorant and it's really sad.

The idea of having an affair with a married partner is that it is unlikely that either of them would want more than just sex.
It is so there will not be any emotion attached and just have free sex.
Therefore is all boils down to casual sex between two people.

Mutually Assured Destruction. You both have something to lose. The married woman is less likely to pick up the phone and call your wife, because you could just as well call her husband.
Single women may fall in love with you and demand you leave your wife. The best arrangement is two married people meeting for hot passionate sex, and then go home to their seperate families with a much better attitude and a big smile on their face. I know it works for me...

because a married woman is less likely to be having sex all over the place.
they are most likely going to fill the same void in their life:SEX.
they are not going to be revealing themselves to the whole family, friends, and church members. :)
they both know they have to keep it on the down low side.

I have no idea and i hate when this happens there are so many innocent people involved and once the truth comes out and it always does sooner or later so many people end up hurt and broken over the acts of two selfish people.....

She's married, has her own committments, and will be less likely to blab her mouth. Plus, he won't have to do all of the husband things.

I am unfortunately one of those people that did this. and the answer is just as everyone else has said. Just for causual sex with no commitment!
