I really like turkey, mostly the white meat though. Often we will just get a turkey breast to roast, and then also have ham. But turkey to me is a real holiday meal, that brings back happy memories of holiday meals as a child. Nothing is better on Thanksgiving than a slice of roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and stuffing with cranberry sauce!

Count me in.

Except for the baked ziti and the meatballs, sounds like my family Thanksgivings. I get two since my mom and dad are divorced. So add on another 10 lbs for me as well.

I do enjoy turkey. I don't eat it that often, but it's mighty tasty. Must be the whole "home cooked" aspect of it, where you can make it just the way you like it. The best part about Thanksgiving is the leftovers. Turkey sandwiches for the next few days. Can't beat it. Many times we give a lot of our leftovers for people to take home with them who attended Thanksgiving with us. More than a few times we've donated the food to places where people need food, although they're kinda strict about that, and most won't take the already cooked food as they didn't make it themselves, and hence isn't sure if it's safe. Although if you know the people personally who volunteer at those places, they know we're cool and will take it.

Thanksgiving. Gotta love it.

Turkey is great and many Americans enjoy turkey on days other than Thanksgiving (eg turkey and swiss sandwiches, turkey pie, etc.). If you have too much food at your dinner table, just take less of the other food and save some room for the turkey.

the two the Dem's' and re pubs' can not often agree on something even while they choose a similar element. till you circulate to c-span you will not see plenty coverage of one/3 party applicants. great companies make extensive contributions to applicants they help, you're constrained in how plenty you may donate to a candidate in my opinion. companies set up committees and communities to help and fund applicants. the latest financial ruin rules have been written by the banking marketplace for congress to make into regulation and it bit them interior the butt. the different issue is that some human beings vote for a million party each and every of the time, the two because of the fact they help that party each and every of the time and have faith it is the only party to do whats precise,or they're disappointed with the different party for some reason. the two events choose it their way and could compromise some to get their way. I used to like turkey when I was a kid, now that I am grown I would rather have HAM. Seems that turkey is dry even if cooked in a oven bag, just don't really like the dryness I guess.

But I'll still load up a turkey sandwich with veggies and mustard

Love the turkey day! Funny you should mention that about Italian-Americans though, my grandmother came from Poland and so did my husband...she taught HIM how to make all of the fixin's for a proper Thanksgiving. We have everything, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes, you name it! We have Polish food on Easter...sometimes at Christmas...but as far as she was concerned, Thanksgiving is an American holiday, and so you eat American!

I like turkey, as a child we only ever had it twice a year, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve (ham Christmas Day) but I have to agree with another poster here.. fried turkey is the 'bestest'.

I like the turkey, but my mother doesn't. I love the whole idea of thanksgiving, but I have to admit that it is more fun to nibble all day than it is to gorge myself these days. Also, leftovers always taste better, so after the initial holiday feast, you are in for some tasty treats for the next few days.

At our annual Thanksgiving family get together and slug fest. We had Turkey and Pizza. Then we would criticize each other on how we were living our lives. Takes sides get mad and swear you will never do this again. BUT WE DO. LOL
