Lizards are the best pests which neither harm your household or any of the pets. They're quiet fast at reprduction and safe as well. They can go into any small holes and can kill them quiet well.It is the best biological way of controlling pests..☺

Try putting a handful of moist bran flakes in a deep jar and bury the jar up to its neck in a spot where the crickets are. If deep enough they will go in there for the bran and not get out again. You could use a 2 0r 3 litre plastic bottle, cut off the top third, invert it into the bottle and do the same with the jar and bran. They can climb in but have a hard time finding the way out.
It depends then what you want to do with them as this doesn't kill them, just traps them. If you need them for frogs or lizard food, this is ideal.
If you need to kill them add a little borax to the mix, and keep it away from pets and kids.

why? if its to feed a pet lizard frog, make sure that the lawns aren,t sprayed! if it,s cos you dont like crickets? try a handfull of grated vegies , chopped peelings etc in a bowl with some crumpled , damp, paper over it, they will come for a feed after dark, and if you get up early you can remove them .crickets are a sign that the yard is fairly healthy, be nice to them, they don,t do that much damage . and they will tell you its going to rain, better than the weather man!

With your bare hands.

That's how I do it. You have to be patient, sharp-eyed and quick. Put it into a mayonaise bottle with holes punched in the cap. Throw in a few stalks of grass to make them feel at home and not try looking for a way out.

I feed them to my birds. My other birdy friends have this odd way of feeding aspirin to their sick birds. Cut aspirin into narrow slices, then cut a cricket in half (urgh!) and stick the aspirin into one half and join up with the other half. The aspirin is the peg that holds the two cricket halves together.
Then they give it to their sick bird.

Awful isn't it? But then, do you want your sick bird to get better, and what other creative or ingenious solution can you think of, to feed it medicine?
