Every other one has the head on the wrong end. Can't they make them all the same?

Just use the half that is "GOOD" and return the other half. Be sure when you return them, you give the store this same explanation and hand them the backward nails, backwards.

Wear a Groucho Mustache attached to fake glasses, as they may have security cameras.

I wondered too, in days before the Industrial revolution if nails were sold in Half/penny sizes?

what how do you know the head is on the wrong end is it because just the way you get it out of the box the head looks like its on the wrong end

The problem is you're buying cheap nails, just go to Lowes and buy the nails in boxes, a little more expensive but you never find even one bad..☺
