If shoes don't fit when you buy them, they usually won't stretch out enough. I finally learned this one.
If they are leather, you can wet them and weat them wet.

Darling, I feel you. My heel legacy is sort of waning, but at least I know how to wear them now.
Take them to a shoe store and they'll stretch them for you very inexpensively. You can even specify what part you want to have stretched. Stuff newspaper really tightly into the toes of the shoes and leave them there for a couple days, that helps too. Rub vaseline on your feet, or anywhere that your foot will be feeling the friction of the shoe the most, and the pain will be minimal. Try softening the back of the shoes by bending them repeatedly until the initial stiff feeling is gone. This works best if they're leather.
And no high heel shoe should be worn without Foot Petals. You can buy them at target.com and they're amazing.
EVEN STILL, if the shoes are just plain too small, don't wear them because you'll be absolutely miserable. Don't even keep them because you'll only be reminded of your misery if you really like them. Trust me on this one.

You can take them to a shoe repair shop and they can stretch them some what for you, they have either a machine or they can use shoe tree's for that. They place them on them and it causes them to stretch out a little bit and that will help you.
If they are leather you can put some saddle soap on them to help soften them up some what and that will also help them loosen up.
Ouch, I know that hurt, best to take them to a shoe repair shop and have them stretched a little and save your feet.

Someone told me the other day that I should stand in some water whilst wearing them and then let them dry on my feet. I haven't tried it tho because they are a suedy material and I don't want to ruin them but for other types of material it should be fine!

Stuff the inside with socks or tissue paper for a few hours then try them on and see if they've loosened up.
Good Luck!

Try shoe repair shops for a "shoe stretcher". You could get by with one, or a pair. They come with "buttons" for any specific tight spots.
The shop should do it for you if you prefer, for a small fee.

ask a friend with larger feet or extra chub on their person to try them out. Or lend it to them for a day excursion.
