Yes, my ex...this is a very good explaination of how our relationship went!!
There is a lovely poem/saying out there that goes something along the lines of ....." and then the day finally came where the pain it took to hold on was far greater then the pain it took to let go".
That was my mantra for a long long time....it to also became a reality.

Yes. My Mother-in-Law. She has tried from the day she met me to hurt me. Never physical....always emotional hurt. Sending me letters telling me I'm a traitor to the family if I disagree with her on an issue, spreading lies about me to the family, etc. After 15 years of it, it just rolls off now. Even my husband admits that his Mom is a little insane, so we just let her go off on her tangents, and we live our happy lives anyway.

Yes sadly it has happened to me several times. Both mentally with one person and physically with another...Mentally my one supposele friend would not stop embarrassing and trying to humiliate me in public (now have social phobia issues) and the other one 4 years later tried to stab me....twice...I no longer make friends as the wrong ones like me.

yes, I hoped it killed the ability to be hurt but it did not, that person just used up all the pain they could give me

absolutely. have you ever heard the famous proverb : 'what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.'
bad experiences always have a good side. they make you strong inside. so that you are better able to cope with hardships later on.
