Cubic yard conversion:
Measure your area in square feet (e.g Lenth times Width), then multiply the area by the depth of the mulch (typically 6 inches or .5 feet). You now have cubic feet. Divide the number by 27 for cubic yards.
A yard 100 by 100 requiring 6 inches of mulch has an area of 10,000 square feet. Multiply by your .5 foot depth and you get 5000 cubic feet. Divide 5000 by 27 to get 186 cubic yard or about 11 dump trucks worth.

A cubic yard is 27 cubic feet. If you spread your mulch at exactly 3" deep, you will get 4 square feet of coverage. So, 4 square feet multiplied by 27 equals 108.
It's very difficult to spread EXACTLY 3" of mulch, so figure slightly under the exact amount. Go with 100 sq. feet per yard.

3 x 3 x 3 = 27 cu. ft. Square feet would depend upon how thick of slab you pour. Example a cubic yard has 27 cubic feet. If a slab, was four inches thick, you could pour 81 square feet of concrete that is 4 inches thick.

Figure about 105 square feet per cubic yard spread to about 3". You could probaby stretch it further if necessary. Really depends on mulch and it's size. This is a general ball park figure used for top soil and granite mulch.
