I want to hook-up a sprinkler system drawing from my backyard pond. My longest run would be about 200 ft. with about 10-12 sprinklers. This would not be an underground system. I would be using hoses. What kind of electric pump should I use. HP? Manufacturer? What other variables should I be considering?

Wherever you purchase a pump would be able to tell you the specifications of size, brand and HP which is decided by size and length of piping. You will also need some type of filter to keep from clogging the pump and the sprinkler heads. You may need a "floater" to hold the inlet hose off the bottom of the pond to prevent picking up of large objects from pond bottom.

Make sure you fill in the trenches so they are even with the rest of the lawn. Allow for settling!!! Water and fertilizer will help the grass fill in over the trenched areas.
