Paracetamol (Panadol) is a class A drug that means it has been proven safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and can be used for children over 1 month.
So as long as you stick to recommended doses, its fine to use while pregnant. (Should not be used where there is severe liver or kidney disease.)

Paracetamol (Panadol®) is safe to take in the recommended doses while you are pregnant. The recommended dose of paracetamol for pain relief is one to two 500 mg tablets every three to four hours, with a maximum of eight tablets in 24 hours.

Paracetamol is classed as a category A medication in pregnancy. Category A medications are those which have been taken by a large number of pregnant women or women of childbearing age without an increased frequency of malformations or other harmful effects on the developing baby having been observed. Therefore if a medication is needed to provide pain relief during pregnancy, paracetamol is a suitable choice.

Strepsils is also allowed during pregnancy....

The only thing that's "safe" to take in pregnancy is paracetamol. Other painkillers can cause all sorts of complications. If it's just a sore throat, I'd put up with it or gargle with TCP + water to soothe it rather than take a drug you don't really need. If it's too bad for that get in touch with an out of hours gp today and ask their advice. (Or nhs direct. If you're in the uk, anyway!)

there are a number of a number of issues which you're able to do to alleviate your sore throat. I pronounced a house treatment mutually with a gargle created from salt devolved in heat water or a warm drink created from warm water, honey and lemon. yet once you have tried those and that they have not labored for you, or you merely have not got the factors, then I pronounced a medicated throat lolly or gargle. If non of those provide you relief, then i could pass on your interior of reach GP and he might desire to have the capacity to prescribe you something better and so on. desire this helps!!

From a question I asked you really can not take anything with out talking to your doctor first. I was talking some cold meds for my head cold and asked about it on here since my doctor was gone for the weekend and got some disturbing results. Please check www.safefetus.com to see what reactions that can happen. So that your not like me thinking something may go wrong because you can not see your doctor yet.But I do know you can use cough drops such as Halls with honey to help the irritation for now.
