Many of the murders, committed in the U.S., are part of the conduct of business of an underground economy, created by the State. Those who traffic, in contraband, cannot resolve their differences in the courts. They cannot go to the police if they are robbed of their assets. If you are not part of this underground business, don't fraternize with those who are, and don't go where such business is conducted; you will be relatively safe. Most Americans are well aware, that one's safety, has much to do with one's lifestyle. It is about where you go, what you do, and who you are with.

It is much easier, to avoid death by murder in the U.S., than it is to avoid death by motor vehicle. There are more than twice as many motor vehicle deaths in the U.S., than there are murders, i.e., approximately 50,000 per annum, about one death every ten minutes.

I have never personally, known anyone that was murdered. I have known, a number of individuals who where killed in auto accidents. When my children go out for the evening, e.g., to the movies, it is not an assault I fear; it is a motor vehicle accident I fear.

Because of where the murders happen, who they happen to, what causes them, and how many people per thousand that number represents.

There are 350 million people in the U.S. Most people who get murdered make the murderer mad first. Most murderers are drug related. Blacks are overrepresented in terms of the percentage of the population compared to the percentage of murders committed.

If you are careful about your life, stay away from drugs, don't get people mad, don't go into bad areas late at night, and stop worrying about it so much, you can feel safe.

Besides not living there? People need to stand up and be counted in their opinions on the deaths that are happening. Unfortunately it is happening worldwide and will continue to grow unless we, as the community find a way to resolve why klling is so exiting to some people. We have stopped smacking children as they say that leads to violence, yet the violence is worse as there no longer is any discipline. We need the goody goodies to sit down and shut up and let the majority take a stand to curb the violence and carnage

It could be those darn guns again, My friend and his wife have one. They are nice people though, They say it could protect their family. I asked if I could look at it. They said they keep it locked up so the kids don't get into it. Anyway, it was heavy and cold, it had a funny shape. It did not look dangerous, but they said it was. My friend shot it once in his basement. It was loud, and the smoke smelled. I did'nt care for it. I don't want one. I will just call the police if I have to. Hope this helps.

I know I wouldn't feel safe unless there is drastic legislation passed on arms control
Unfortunately the NRA is so strong the politicians will not stand up to them.
Look what they did to Al Gore.

After the last ten years of mass murder in shooting you think they would stop playing politics and tigten the gun laws! Australia was subjected to this once we learn our lesson and tightened our gun laws it hasn't happened since.

I think if USA tightened the gun laws you would have a decrease in the number of deaths.
