Bullies and racists never learn. They are ussually shot and killed before they change. Will it stop? Will the bullies and racists ever stop? How many more school shootings do there have to be? How many more Seung Hui Cho's will there be before people change?

School shootings do happen. It will happen again. May not be as bad but it will happen. And it can happen at any school. Even the best schools can have shootings at any time. And no the racist and bullies won't stop. That's just people. Some people don't have respect for life in general. And some people don't want to change. All though it would be so much better if they did change but it's not that easy.

If American society still keeps its eyes and ears shut on the reason why these killings happen, if they still continue to raise bullies, it will never stop. Bullying kills a person's spirit, much more a child's spirit when that child is relentlessly being bullied by his peers. America has the highest rate of teenage suicide - it is reported in an Oprah Show some 2 years ago. And these children told their parents, told their school, told the police about the bullying - but they did not do anything. That was THE OPRAH SHOW reporting and I don't know, no one seemed to listen. And then Seuing Hui Cho happened, and they act surprised. Go figure!

Yes there will be more. But I don't think Cho reacted like this purely because he was bullied or people were racist towards him. He was mentally ill. Many people have been in his situation and not reacted as he did. It is terribly sad for everyone, including his family.

The adoption of more and more security measures will only slow, not stop the phenomenon.
It is not about conditions in the school and on the property, but more about who attends to the school.
The common thread of the shooters at the most basic level seems to be that they believe themselves "entitled" to popularity and success, etc. and that they were able to get so far along in life without coming to terms with the fact that the world is full of many small disappointments.
"Everyone" is to blame, so everyone & anyone is fair game in their minds.
Our society had replaced the "Pursuit of Happiness" with the "Guarantee of Happiness" in nearly every cultural message we send. Kids are protected from all misfortunes, and over indulged under guise of love. The media tells young impressionable minds that they "deserve" every consumer product under the sun, and that we have the "right" to every pleasure &success.
Challenges and failures are not seen as tools for growth and maturity, but to be avoided at all costs because they are not pleasant.
It is stunning that more of this kind of maddness does not occur.

Cho was nuts he needed mental help.
most people get some sort of bulling but that doesn't make you go and shoot people. I had some bullying, for me it made me stronger and prepared me for obstacles in later life.
life is tough .
Bullies always get sorted out in the end
As long as there are nutters out there then there will be shootings

It'll never change. Face it: there is always going to be the Cho's of the world. We have to do a better job of recognizing the signs of someone who is mentally unstable and act upon it faster.

Yes. There will be more school shootings, employee killings, spree killings, and all else. Humans are humans and will never change. There is no way to predict who won't be able to handle their rage, disappointment, resentment, and the like. Ergo, there will be more innocent people killed as those who can't stand life anymore kill those around them or those they blame. Sorry!!!

In short. Yes there will be more to come unfortunately. I believe that measures taken in the future will help deter these cowards but it will come at the cost of our current standards of living.

there will always be the possiblity that this will happen over and over again....there is no way to stop it...they havent in the past and will not be able to in the future.....just prepare for it....good luck
