YES!

This is exactly what the killer wanted. Yet again, one of the big media outlets has granted an evil, evil person precisely what he wanted. He felt he had no voice, and now the whole world has heard him. Any psycho out there who was considering a similar action has now been given reason to go do it. There was a time when restraint was viewed as a virtue. Apparently the media dictum of "if it bleeds, it leads" trupms all notions of responsible journalism.

Because in the States news companies compete for ratings, and NBC must have thought it was Christmas when the package arrived. Amazing that the police actually had to negotiate with NBC regarding the release of the tape. Sometimes you can have just too much freedom. Let's hope this is an alarm call for the USA, however I do not hold my breath. Looking at the U.S media most are saying what happened at VT actually proves 2nd amendment rights??? How many of your children are killed by guns each year on the streets. So sad!

If they didn't show videos or present facts through the media then some hack critic would start yelling that it was a government conspiracy or cover-up. Negative news is, at times, more important than showing the positives because of the fact that there are many more suspicious people than those who take the truth as the truth.

I do not believe the victimes could be more violated - they are dead. I think that people needed to see what was allowed to wander the campus of our universities - it puts things in perspective and hopefully will bring change. There are folks out there that would like to provoke sympathy for this loser.

I think it needed to be aired; the photos first put on the air showed a little wimpy guy, seemed normal but a little nerdy; the photos and videos that were released showed something completely different and very scary. They should not be played over and over, enough is enough; but yes we needed to see them.
