The labour government did not create this 'multiculturalism', they deliberately permitted it to happen.
For the past 40 years governments wanted to limit immigration, but the Labour party in opposition derided this, even against the wishes of their own supporters. This was because they wanted the 'immigrant' vote. Well they got the vote, gained power and called William Hague a racist when he highlighted the situation in the 2002 (?) election.
Labour have now woken up to the fact that the non-integration aka 'multiculturalism' is bad for society, a drain on the economy and it fosters strife.
I hope they can do something about it.
I speak as a first generation English person. My parents learnt English and behaved in an English way, believing 'when in Rome...', whilst keeping their own culture at home. Both fought for this country during WW2
Well meaning but deluded people have fostered this 'separateness' of multiculturalism but for what reason I do not know. Perhaps to undermine mainly English culture
Sorry to rant, but I think people who come to settle in England should learn to speak English and show the respect to the indigenous population that they themselves expect.

The Government did not create a multicultural society. People from many cultures are here and a multicultural society occurred as a result of tolerance on the part of the majority of people.

Too right i do, its thanks to all my local shops run by the non british who opens their shops really early and close really late. I live in a lovely little community and all types of cultures. I think its great that communities like mine exist. I help to keep my local shops going and use them regularly and every one has a smile.
When things kick off its so easy to blame isn't it, but they don't see its usually someone white who starts it all off with their own prejudices. I am white and love people full stop ! but i know of communities who are so ignorant and disdainment that i wish i wasn't white sometimes. Bring back respect all round please !

No, not at all. The immigrants don't want to live the British way of life. They want (and get) their own shops, own places of worship, own language and religion to be taught in OUR schools, their own community centres, etc.

THEY are surely the REAL racists?

i think the government is living in a dream world, they expect us all just to get on, but it's a known fact, if you mix to many races and religions there's going to be trouble. all the government is doing is over crowding us.

It sounds as if you are the one who doesn't want to integrate with the rest of your community.

Yes I do. But its for all of us to change our ways. Why would an asian kid want white friends when they are called awful names and picked on?
No wonder they stay in their own communities
