well i have been smoking for 6 years.
its helps maintain my weight, but i wish i could me much more healthier than i already am lol. running is just something that my lungs hate, and before i started smoking i was a very very active girl., i do exercise but not the way i should be.
i don't find that smoking calms me down, to be honest it wires me up makes me more anxious and awake.
there really is no positives to smoking, if there where, then smokes wouldn't have those health warning pictures and labels on the pack..
i would advise you to rethink the ''positives'' cause there ain't any lol.
good luck

I quitted last year but I´m smoking again, just a big mistake to take one.... you know!! but I wanna quit again, I feel great when I don´t and I can get a better way of enjoying myself without having to be sad with prohibitions everywhere and that horrifying dependence.... without forgetting that I was less nervous than I am when I do... have more time for doing things and I smell good. When I´m smoking I feel unhappy and always tired. I work out for a long time and it´s really a sh** when you have lack of breath sometimes. What kind of healthy life is that??
Just do it, it´s not so bad once we´ve decided to quit. I just need my moment to arrive again...... but I don´t mean to wait forever.

I've smoked for more than twenty years.
I find it a comfort, a familiar habit.
It still is, despite social attitudes changing, a social activity.
People who smoke gather together and talk, it's a good way to start a conversation.
I find it defines my 'character'. People know me as a smoker.
I enjoy doing it.
I really can't think of anything else to say. Good luck with the question, I hope you get some good answers.
:)

I was told that taking up jogging would make me want to quit. I am up to 20 miles a week and about 20 cigarettes a day...can you believe that? I like the damn things even more now. Oh well, it's a beautiful day here. I think I'll go for a run, cough cough, hack hack.

Sorry, there is absolutely NOTHING positive about smoking. It causes cancer and seriously affects your lungs and heart. Further, it smells up your clothes and house. Quit and do your self a big favor. Good luck.

I enjoy smoking and people can't believe that I don't actually WANT to give up. It calms my nerves, helps me to relax and feels good! Wakes me up if I'm starting to feel a bit dopey too.....
