Yes I would feel or at least have compassion for human life over an animal however, I don't think it's right to kill things you have not intent on eating or survival!
I do believe what goes around comes around too.

Not that I feel sorry for them, but for their innocent families. I think what they do for a living is wrong, we do not need to kill seals to eat, or skins to wear. That whole idea is ancient and ridiculous. I don't wish them harm, well not too much harm maybe a Little frost bite on their clubbing fingers, no no just kidding. But like I said no need to eat or wear seals!!

I'm a big supporter of animal causes, even held a fundraiser for the HSUS Save the Seals campaign recently. I wouldn't say I feel sorry for them necessarily, but I don't want them to suffer and die or anything. In fact, I'm sure if any of the independent observers of the seal hunt could get to them and help them home before they starve or freeze they would surely do so. We can only hope to make a better world if we all widen our concept of compassion, even to those that we don't think are worthy of it.

No, Save the seals. The polar bears are killing the seals and these men are killing the seal. The poor seals need all the help to survive. The men on the ice well.....

Yes, I feel sorry for them, that's their way of life, forget about the seals, people never stop to think about other animals, cows and chickens for example, there is a lot more chickens and cows killed each year than seals, and that is their industry, their children will be hungry, cause those sealers are not getting paid to be stuck in the ice. Any one opposed to the seal hunt should look at things from a different perspective and realize how economies work, i guess ignorance is bliss, but not for the people who know though.

Th eonly way to prevent this is to stop using the products. We sitting here are on one hand hating these people for killing seals. On the other hand, we are doing nothing to stop the demand. If the demand is not there, nobody would like to kill the seals.

As with dolphins or whales or elephants or rhinos or any animal that's 'worth' something in terms of money, on this planet, I don't mind that they are 'harvested' -- they supply food, incomes, etc. BUT, i do care that they are slaughtered in a humane way and that their species are managed so as to eliminate the possibility of extinction.

Yes, I do feel sorry for them.
As much as I despise seal clubbing, I won't stoop to hypocrisy to gloat over the misfortunes of fellow human beings.
Now would be an excellent time for Greenpeace or Sea Shepherd Society to show their humanity and rescue these guys. Plus it would put the seal clubbers in an awkward position.
I also believe in KArma and those who wish misfortunate on others will receive tenfold that misery.
