Wow, thought provoking. Sorry to hear about your Dad, enjoy your time together and remember him at his best, not his wrost. :O)
In answer to your question, I think Id rather know. because Im a fighter! and itd give me a challenge, to conquer my illness. and if I didnt manage to do that, then at least Id have had the time to make my peace with everyone, and most importantly, myself.
Sending huge hugs to everyone who's going through a hard time at the moment. Lifes too short xx

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. We're burying my cousin today, he died of cancer at the age of 45. He was able to make all his funeral arrangements and make peace with his life. I often wonder though, how he felt knowing the family was just waiting for that final moment. How he felt watching his parents suffer knowing they were going to lose a child. Honestly, I'm not sure how I would want to go.

How awful for you, your father and family. :( Cancer has taken many of my family members also and your question is a good one, I think.
In my case, I would prefer knowing because I would want to make preparations for those in my care that would be left behind. In particular, the many animals that I've taken in over the years and have given sanctuary to. Knowing that they are in good homes would allow me to rest in peace.

I would prefer to know, so I would stop being such a b**** and be nicer to people before I went.
And sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope you have some good times together.

I'd rather know so that I could make sure my loved ones know how much they mean to me and cherish my last moments with them.

I'd want to know. Don't wanna waste my time at work if i'm gonna die next week.
Plus if I knew how and when I was going to die I could try to cheat death.
