.jpg is the extention for Jpeg Files (they are the same thing)
For jpeg to Gif (do know of a gip assume you mean gif)
use
ReaConverter 4.0 (downlaod link below) for bulk conversion of files

Adobe changed all the "File Associations" to open in Adobe by default.
To fix, right-click on any jpg file and choose: Choose Program...
Then, choose Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (or your favourite image viewer). Then, Check the box that says: Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
Click OK and you're done. Repeat for other image extensions if needed.

jpeg is a jpg you might need to open it in paint and then save as and change file name at the bottom to a different file type.

JPG and JPEG are the same format. Here's how i change formats from bmp to jpg to gif, i simply open the file i want to change formats to with MS Paint then click file, save as and pick another format. It allows u to choose from 4 bmp formats, jpg, gif, tif or png.

Dear frined simply use mspaint. there open the file and go for save as option in the file manu. there u will find the option for saving in jpg or other. and if not then simply use adobe photoshop there will get all the option for file coversion.

the size of your pict maybe too large, so you can't upload it.
resize it to a small one.
edit in adobe photoshop, open image - image size and change your resolution pict from 300 dpi to 72 dpi (at the lower one) then adjust your pict height and widht size to 240 x 320 or less than that.
after that open file -save for web to resize again your pict to smalest size as you want.you can save it to jpg or gif.

Just rename the file extension to .jpg. Thatz it.

Go to Programs-Accessories-Paint. Open your photo in Paint and save it again, selecting the .gif extension from the "Save as type".
