As an outsider, I'm just amazed at how over-confident Americans can be when they have their "This is the best country in the world" moments. Sure, depending on what factors you look at, it may be better off than many countries but you guys definitely have a lot more to work on. Most of the population has no idea what's going on in the rest of the world even.
Every country get bad-mouthed by everyone else so it may just be easier for you to let it go because no one country is perfect. I'm happy (for you) that you've chosen not to get on those boat or planes cos I certainly am not coming over either. At least where I am, I don't have to worry about my loved ones being gunned-down on their way home from school.

As long as they are talking, it is a opportunity for them to learn why so many people want what we have. A honest chance to become whatever they want to work to become.
If they do not like the President, they can work for a better candidate, without fear of being hauled from their beds in the middle of the night, taken out and shot. (Like Saddam did)
Let them show their ignorance, then educate them.

Go ahead and give me thumbs down. I was working on the family farm before 5, and now I have my own home, two cars, and an education that will get me a job anywhere. All this thanks to the American way.

Nobody GAVE me anything. I did not inherit, I worked.

USA, bless God!

Get used to it. Folks always envy or hate what they can't have, such as being born and raised in the greatest Democracy the world has ever seen. I'd rather live here than anywhere else. So who cares what others say?

We all have rights and we can all criticize our government. Talk is easy and cheap. But the people who constantly say how bad our country is and how wrong our country is need to get the heii out and stay out. It is wrong to spew hate at every turn and it seems that this is what these people are best at doing. We are so lucky to live in the USA. We have freedoms others only dream of. In this country we can work to become what ever we want to be. We can say perfectly outrageous things and no one will care. We can make ourselves better and make our country better. We, the people decide what we want our country to be and how we want our country to act. If people in other countries don't like Americans I don't care. I don't like things in other countries and I don't want their citizens moving here. (But, they just keep coming) That is what is so amazing all these people say how bad America is but they just keep coming here.

im more fed up with the liberals that cause it. we dont stand for what we once did and most WORKING people dont want the myriad of tax and spend and welfare schemes that the liberal elected " officials" are enacting. Let's return to what we once were and hopefully this will all stop.

If you benefit from the actions of the empire, than you tend to love that empire. If you're a victim of those actions, or you are merely one who has compassion for the victims, you must criticize.

Yes and it seems that tha biggest part of them are freedom of speech throwing, flag burning, name calling, do as we say not as we do, or we will get mad at you DEMOCRATS. There is a section of this political party that loves to see the death toll in Iraq rise so they can say, See we told you so.
