As a 17 teen year old should I feel older/more mature than my 21 year old sis and 20 year old bro? ofr even my friends and students that are the same age as me.

here let me give you an example- At age 11, I told my mom to stop doing my laundry, so I could do it. at age 13 I started doing the dishes for the whole house by hand( we do have a dishwaher)my lil sis who 16 is sopposed to help me, but she never home always out with her boyfriend and I'm left doing it and I don't conmplain about it.
At age 15 I became my big sis live in babysister who at the time had a 4, 1 and newborn. Oh, most of the time don't get paid.

well, there it is. I'm a 17 year old that doesn't smoke, drink, go to paryies. I like to read, write and stay at home on my computer. don't get me wrong I will go out with friends every now and again.

So, here, the question is it normally for a 17 year old to feel as mature as a 25?

Are you sure you're not confusing being responsible with being mature ?
Some would argue that maturity is being able to take responsibility for ones actions, but that's not what your examples show.
Wanting to do your own laundry shows your need for Independence and a need to show responsibility. I'm guessing this happened about the same time your big sis was pregnant or had her first child since at 15 you were babysitting 4-1 and newborn children. I'm assuming your parents showed great disappointment in your sister getting pregnant so early in life. This sparked a need in you to show how responsible you could and to prove to your parents that you weren't going to disappoint them (like your sister).
Comments like 'Oh, most of the time don't get paid' tells me that you don't expect retribution for the 'responsibilities' that you assume, but you don't hesitate to let others know of your deeds. Its possible that your living in complete fear of disappointing your parents. Its possible that my observations of your character from reading a short post is total BS but regardless the answer to your question is the same.
No ...
Your young ...
Go live ...
Go to the parties ... drink the drinks ... smoke the smoke ...
do it responsibly.

I must say, you are truly exceptional. Wow. It's a good thing though! Apparently, you're aware of your uniqueness, or you'd lose it! You deserve some acknowledgment for your truly unselfish feats of morality. Those kids are really lucky to have an uncle like you caring for them, and hopefully, knowing that some of you will rub off on them is the true payoff. I hope your family appreciates all your hard work, not only around the house, but in abstaining from being a regular rebellious 17 yr old. So, the answer is no, I don't think it's normal. In your case, it's a godsend. Normal gets you nowhere anyways, so be proud of being a mature teenager! Your mom must be very proud of you! Stay on that straight and narrow and you will go far!

Sorry, but what are you talking about?
You are 17, and will be, until you turn 18.
Do you think you are the only one in that situation?
You, should of been doing all those things.
Its called helping around the house.
Although, I disagree, with you babysitting, 3 young children on your own.
Too young.
You, can feel as, mature as you like.
But, realistically, thats life.
And, your not alone.

that doesn't mean your too mature for your age it just means that you like to help people around your house and that's good, but thing about it is your 17 years old, you should be having fun, you know hanging with friends, acting dumb and stupid, becuase sooner or later your body will catch up to your maturity and at time you'll just wish that you were young and having fun. so just remember helping family is good but still try to have fun before your teenage years are over.

hmmmm you got a good head on your shoulders and you're worried that you don't act young and dopey? not much of a problem. don’t worry. once you're out of high school you'll have a blast in college with other bright people. you might eventually go out with some one older than you so you can find an equivalent level of maturity - all the better for you (just pick wisely)

enjoy!
