why are women on the front of mens mags AND womens mags? if men have women on theirs, shouldnt we have men on ours? i think its sexist and adds to the peer pressure women feel from the media today.

In the same way, why do mags and ad's always use skinny women!
Lets start a campaign for real people and equality to be used whilst advertising.
Nothing will ever change though, people are always attracted to what they think is glamour and that is why women are used for advertising, I don't think it's sexist more of a case of ignorance by the media!!, the only way things will change is if the magazines stop selling.

I would guess this is because women don't want people to think they are buying a magazine just to look at the pictures of the men.
If putting men on the cover sold more copies I'm sure they would be doing it.

Its because the majority of men will not want o go on magazine covers, and loads of women would do anything to get on to magazine covers.

Erm all for equality and you having topless pictures of the likes of Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake or whoever else you think is cute.
Magazines have pics of girls as girls can use sex to control guys and make them do things,.
Ie pretty girl on cover makes guys get magazine like bait.
Likewise guys are easily manipulated into handing over lots of money to see girls with less clothes on
its nature.
Girls tend to be more sensible are harder to control this way but all for quality... its mnore relaxing when both get to be naughty

I always think that too. Its stupid. Im sure many females would have a higher self esteem if the magazines they read didn't promote 'perfection' They would probably sell more too.
